JOHN'S GOSPEL: Instructions

It is intended to be done with a group of people, or at least 2 or 3 friends agreeing to follow it together.

Each week, there is something to do every day using one chapter of the Gospel to work through.

Generally, after having read each part of the chapter twice by the middle of the week, there is then a day with a verse to learn.

It is recommended that the group sets up a dedicated Whatsapp or online forum so that questions and thoughts about the chapter can be shared during the week (this is prompted towards the end of the week in the hand-out sheets). Group leaders are recommended to set up the Whatsapp or online forum before the first session starts.

On a Saturday (or the final day of the study) there is a recorded discussion led by Geoff Lumley teaching with a group of students asking questions about the chapter.

Once the week has been completed, the next meeting of your group would be dedicated to talking about the chapter, with members of the group talking about what they had learnt or discovered over the week. Ideally this would take place on the Sunday following the week’s study but a week night group would also be fine (you could, if you wished, schedule the ‘study week’ to start on the day following your meeting rather than a Sunday)

The online resources linked to this study, including access to pdfs of the hand-outs and also the recorded talks can be found on the previous page of this site.

The podcast stream containing all the talks in one place is here.
